Yesterday was just one of those days.
One of those days that for no particular reason you wake up on the wrong side of the bed.
Or in this case, your husband wakes up on the wrong side of the bed and the mood just kind of sticks. Even after he’s left for work.
So yes, yesterday was just one of those days.
But as I was moping around the house, I stumbled upon one of my wall-hangings from college…

“These black bean brownies taste like Starbucks’ brownies,” claimed one pinner on Pinterest.
What a very merry Christmas it was!
The Littlest Sister flew in from Louisiana on Wednesday and The Middle Sister drove from Stillwater, OK on Friday. Mr. Torres and I enjoyed only having to travel the one mile that separates our house and the house of Mama and Daddy K!
This year, in a moment of semi-insanity, I decided that it would be a good idea to make everyone’s Christmas presents. Nevermind the fact that Mr. Torres and I would be planning a race until December 3rd and wrapping up that race until who knows when (I’m still waiting to be able to say we are officially done with the event). Also disregard the face that we are having an unusually short Christmas break from school. It seemed like a good idea at the time…
And despite a couple of long nights and early mornings right before Christmas, everything turned out wonderfully!
The Littlest Sister got an OU wreath so that she could have some OU/homestate love in her apartment in Louisiana.
It’s beginning to feel and look like Christmas in the Torres home…finally!
We have been beyond busy planning a 5K and Fun Run to benefit a local ministry here in Bartlesville and it has kept our schedules so full that decorating and shopping and dreaming about and for Christmas has only just begun!
Since the 5K took place last Saturday, I knew that this weekend would be just perfect for all things Christmas!
First on the agenda?
A makeover for the Christmas wreath that I made three years ago!
