Mr. Torres and I are helping some friends move into their new house this evening and I thought it would be lovely to have a snack to take so that we don’t get hungry while we’re working:)

Despite the fact that I think cooking is the most fun when you’re trying to make something new, there a few recipes that are so good that they just keep getting made over and over again.

This recipe is one that came from Mama K’s lineup and is one of the easiest and most delicious bar/cookie recipes that I have ever eaten (mostly) or made (a few times).

Another great thing about this recipe is that it uses pantry staples.

Another great thing about this recipe is that it involves chocolate and peanut butter.

The only downfall?

They really are the most delicious if you let them cool.

Trust me. I’ve been impatient and eaten them too soon almost as often as I’ve made them.

Patience is happening today.

I won’t be digging into these until I’ve moved at least one box…maybe:)

Verdict: When my littlest sister was home from college one weekend, my mom called me mid-morning to tell me she was making these and to come over to visit. I had some stuff to finish up around my house, but when I stopped by sometime in the late afternoon, I was shocked to hear that the candy bar cookies had indeed been made and had already been eaten. Three people, one 13×9 inch pan of candy bar cookies and a few hours later, there was nothing left. There were also no apologies. They’re just that good.

Yep, that happened. Someone *ahem* also made a batch that turned out hard as rocks once. They got eaten anyway.

Thanks for reminding me:P I think the only time one of my disasters didn’t get eaten were the break-your-teeth cinnamon rolls…well, the anchovy and ramen noodle dip Lins and I made wasn’t a very big hit either!

I thought Lindsey and Dad ate at least some of those cinnamon rolls. I don’t remember that dip . . . but I do remember the ufot! It was tried, but not eaten.
