Mr. Torres Goes to Houston

7 Jun

It’s been happening quite a bit lately.

It wasn’t really a big deal during the school year.

With school and grading and soccer games, I was pretty busy most of the time.

But now that it’s summer, things are different.

I know, it’s not quite right. It’s a work in progress!

When Mr. Torres is gone, it makes a BIG difference!

I have sooooo much time.

It’s weird.

I get a lot done AND go to bed early.

Which means I wake up early.

Which means I have more time to get more stuff done. For instance…

Today I went on a two mile walk while waiting for some blueberry banana muffins to bake for breakfast, took the Honda to the dealership for a software update, stopped by the grocery store, sewed and dyed the last two of four curtains I’ve been making, watched an episode of My Fair Wedding, switched all four curtains around multiple times until I found the best arrangement, worked in the church office for three and a half hours, spray painted a rug, read a book, made the best-ever rice crispie treats, played soccer at the gym, watched another episode of My Fair Wedding, took measurements to make a dress tomorrow and I think that’s about it:)

Come home, Mr. Torres! I miss you!

And there are waaaay too many rice crispie treats here for me to eat on my own:)

Aw! You are really getting after it while Mr. Torres is away! You are so motivated!! …..My husband just left for a few days this morning- I’m going home to my family instead— even though it would be awesome to be that productive. I pat you on the back, girlie! WAY TO GO! :)

Thanks! But you definitely have an excuse for taking it easy! Enjoy visiting your family:)

I love having my husband home all of the time now, but I have to admit that I sometimes I miss the days when he was traveling. I get so much more done when he’s gone. But then of course, I miss him so much! It would be nice to just have a couple of nights a month to myself to get things done! ;)

Haha, I can relate to that! That’s one of the reasons why I like summer break so much…gives me plenty of time to get things done!
