Nothing says summer quite like a dessert made with fruit…
Except maybe a dessert made with with fruit covered in vanilla ice cream!
This crisp, like all good crisps, is a perfect balance of warm fruity goodness and buttery sugar and oatmeal!
And everyone knows that fruit crisps are healthy.
Whole wheat flour? Yes. Oatmeal? Yes. Fruit? Yes.
Sounds like breakfast to me!
And afternoon snack!
And dessert after dinner:)
By the time I remembered that I needed to get a picture of the finished crisp, there was only one small serving left.
It’s just that good.
Verdict: Mr. Torres and I just loooove crisps. All kinds. But this variety is especially delicious! It’s not as heavy as chocolate peanut butter banana crisp and not as normal as apple crisp. It really does taste like summer! Another great thing about crisps is that you can control the amount of sugar and butter in the topping. Want to be a little healthier…go easy on the good stuff. The very first blueberry crisp I ever tried had no sugar mixed with the blueberries and was only oatmeal with a little bit of honey on top. It was delicious…almost as delicious as this recipe:)

Girl, this looks heavenly. I love blueberry/apple/etc crisps. They always make me feel so warm and happy!
And now you have an oven to make them in!
Thank you for posting this! I had a bunch of blueberries (they were buy 1, get 1 at the store) and I needed to do something with them. I had to adjust it a little with what I had on hand, but it was delicious! I’ll definitely be making it again.
Yea! I’m so glad it worked out for you! I just hope you had some ice cream to go along with it:)
